I figured this bears repeating from time to time, just to make sure everyone is on the same page!
CSD is a nice place to hang out. We don't have a lot of rules, we allow swearing in guild chat, we have fun when we play, etc. But it will only stay nice if everyone plays nice! Please keep the following things in mind when you're online.
1. NO DRAMA!! If you have a problem with something in game, please bring it to an officer's attention. Bitching about it other guildies, stirring up trouble, etc., does nothing to resolve the issue. Officers are here to help! We do our best to insure a fun, fair environment. We can, do and will make mistakes. Please bear with us!
2. That being said.... We're a diverse group so the chances of someone in the guild upsetting someone else is there. CSD management expects everyone to try and work it out privately first. If there's someone in the guild that you just can't get along with, put them on ignore! You won't hurt anyone else's feelings by doing that. If someone says something to offend you, whisper them before coming to an officer! We are there to help and we want to, but we can get involved in each and every squabble.
3. Swearing is allowed in guild chat and honestly, it's encouraged! That does not mean that guild chat is a free for all, though. Politics and religion are best left to private or party chat. Please note that racist or other intolerant speech is not allowed! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but guild chat is not the place to air them. Attacking another persons race, religion or sexual orientation is grounds for
immediate /gkick. Basically, EVERYONE GET A LONG OR ELSE!
4. Raid scheduling. We know most of you want to raid. Heck, WE want to raid. There are a good number of people in the guild (waves to new people) and we are going to do our best to make sure everyone has a fair chance at getting gear and getting to new content. Please, please, please keep in mind that LOTS of people want to raid and like most guilds, we are limited in the number of tanks and healers that are available! On top of that, when putting together a raid the makeup of the group
HAS to be taken into account. We can't take 15 tree druids, a DPS warrior and fill the rest of the spots with shadow priests. (No matter how funny it would be to see.)
Please understand that we want EVERYONE to get to raid. If you are DPS, it may mean you have to sit out a week.
We have 2 main teams. One that has cleared Naxx and is geared for Ulduar when the patch drops. One that is ready to start working on Naxx. When Ulduar comes out we will still be running Naxx, 10 and 25man. We will still be doing Sarth!
DO NOT HEAP ABUSE ON THE RAID LEADERS! They are all ready doing a very stressful job. If you feel like you are not getting a fair chance at raiding, please talk to one of the raid leaders or another officer. But keep calm. I
promise you are not being excluded because we hate you!
5. Finally, no guild is going to be perfect for every single person. If you find CSD is not the right guild for you, we totally understand. No one will hate you for leaving to find a guild that allows you to get what you want out of the game! Let someone know why you are leaving, but please keep it friendly.
